Halesowen Nursery
Custom Next.js + Prismic marketing site for a real client. Paid retainer, content workflow, and ongoing shipped updates.
A small independent nursery needed a site parents would actually trust: fast on mobile, easy to maintain by non-technical staff, and able to handle photo-heavy content updates from inside the setting.
Off-the-shelf templates felt generic. A fully custom build with no CMS would lock the team into a developer for every copy change. The brief was a custom design with a content workflow non-technical staff could own, without agency pricing.
Designed and built end-to-end on Next.js with Prismic as the headless CMS, deployed on Vercel. Every page, layout, and content type was modelled around the nursery's actual content rhythm rather than a template.
Prismic gives staff a friendly editor for photos, news, and policy pages. Next.js + Vercel keeps the public site fast and resilient with zero ops on the client's side. The retainer covers content additions, design tweaks, and platform maintenance, with ongoing shipped updates visible in the repo history.
